Quick and Delicious Recipe: One-Pot Taco Pasta
For busy parents seeking a quick and satisfying meal, this One-Pot Taco Pasta is a game-changer. It's flavorful, kid-approved, and ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup salsa
- 8 oz
uncooked pasta shells
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
In a large pot or deep skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot.
Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
Stir in the taco seasoning, ensuring the meat is evenly coated.
Pour in the chicken broth and salsa, stirring to combine.
Add the uncooked pasta shells to the pot. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
Once the pasta is cooked, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover the pot and let it sit for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
Garnish with fresh cilantro or green onions if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
This dish combines the comforting elements of pasta with the bold flavors of tacos, making it a hit with both kids and adults. Plus, the convenience of using just one pot means minimal cleanup—a win-win for busy evenings.
