Chef Nigel's Newsletter | October 30th 2021 #chefnigelservices
Hello, Foodie Friends!
Happy Halloween Eve!
Did You Know?
Did you know that jack-o-lanterns used to be carved out of turnips, potatoes, and beets? Jack-o-lanterns originated in Ireland, but people started using pumpkins once Halloween caught on in America.
Whatever you choose to make tomorrow, we want to see! Tag us on Instagram and use the hashtag #chefnigel.
Gourmet of the Week
This week, I’ve got my eye on the YouTuber Immaculate Bites. She creates recipes from around
the world in one-minute snippets. If that’s too fast for you, most of her videos have the recipe linked in the description. Her sweet potato casserole and pumpkin spice latte recipes look like mouthwatering additions
to any fall table.
WhiskyFest will be in town on November 11th! You can taste whiskeys from around the world and enjoy the gourmet buffet! Get your
tickets right here.
If you’re looking for something more low-key (and easier on the wallet), check out Uptown Night
Market on Thursday, November 11th. This is the last one of 2021! Enjoy local food and drinks, performers, and other entertainment in West Harlem from 4-10 p.m. It’s free, but you’ll still need to get a ticket here.
Did you enjoy our newsletter? Share the fun and forward to your food-loving friends! Their palettes will thank you!
